Yet another way for a man to show another man how much better he is
I was sitting on the tailgate of my brother's truck with my prize; a beautiful whitetail 10-point buck. He was beautiful! The shot was still fresh in my mind, and every time I thought about pulling the trigger, my heart would race. When my father and brothers had carried my prize to the truck, they had shot me jealous looks and grumbled about how I got off "lucky". Yeah? Well I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
On the way home, we stopped in town to get some new seasoning supplies. When Dad and my brothers went in, I went around to the bed of the truck and sat with my wonderful trophy. I couldn't wait to get him home and weigh him.
I started to get hot in my camo bibs, and so I stood up, unclipped them, and let them slide down. I tossed them into the cab of the truck, rolled up my jeans, and slid my feet into a pair of heavy boots. Then I undid my hair, unzipped my sweatshirt, and I leaned back and stretched.
Just then a truck pulled up alongside me, and a kid I recognized from school leaned out of the window and said, "Nice rack."
I flipped him off, not for the comment, but for the stupid look on his face. I wasn't really worried. I knew that in about a minute, I'd have three linebacker-sized brothers to back me up.
Sure enough, he hit on me long enough to see my brothers walk up, and then he was out of there.
Sometimes, I love living in a man's world.
