Band was fantastic. We ran through Thriller, from memory, and marched for the first time this year. Amber kept laughing at me because when I march I put on my serious "game face".
And I guess that's why Mrs. Leffler kept telling me to lighten up, even though I couldn't have been more relaxed.
I was in my happy zone.
So the day went painfully slow until fourth period, and then it took off like a rocket. I was happy when the bell rang after fifth period and as I went to my locker, I passed a familiar face in the hall, with his arm around somebody new.
Who knew?
I don't think I've ever vented about Ben, and I don't like to talk about people, but since I could tell they were making fun of me at his locker, it's never to late to start:
I can't believe how anti-social he's become.
It's a little scary.
He ditched all of his friends (and I mean ALL of them) for a group of kids that build fake weapons and fight at the park.
Gosh.
I'm so glad I'm with someone who actually has, you know, social skills?
Plus a love for football.
And Robby's actually funny, and not a geek.
We have so much in common. All this time we were right near each other, laughing and talking as friends.
