This summer was like a car full of drunk teenagers; speeding into the oblivion, voices screaming into the darkness out of pure ectasy, pure freedom, too far gone to care about the stop signs ahead.
And then the blinding lights of reality hit head on.
And it's all over.
College starts in 2 weeks, I'm back in Tennessee, Conor starts his senior year of high school at Colonel Richardson - not Easton - and life moves at crawling speed while we try to recover from the summer and smile at the bittersweet taste of teenage freedom. Don't tell me I'm lucky to be so young, because I already know.
The progression of life is what murders the teenage spirit, and there is no looking back.
Never look back.
I'm going to miss Dad, my brothers, Sami, and Conor, but they all have to live their own lives, like I do.
Progression of life. Constant drive into the oblivion...
I couldn't stop it all if I tried.
college,
fun,
sad,
homesick,
school,
life,
summer,
