So, did I tell you I found a tattoo I wanted to get, that I'll never get?
I've struggled through the ideas of a daisy or shamrock for years. I love daisies and always wanted one, then all my friends had one so that was out. Then I wanted a shamrock, since I love them. I'm Irish, my name means Ireland and my birthday is St. Patrick's Day (couldn't find a better fit right?) Well, that seemed kinda lame, but would probably work best anyways, b/c it can be small which is what I would want.
Well, everyone knows I'm obsessed w/the Beatles but I'd never really thought about getting a Beatles tattoo. Well the other day I decided I'd love to have one on my foot, like above my 4th and 5th toes, that general area.
I was thinking some sort of cross or the shamrock. But then realized I'd love to have a blackbird, b/c I LOVE the song Blackbird. And that'd be something very different.
Now I completely realize that I'm not completely fond of birds. But that's mainly when they fly inside or sit at your window meaning death!
But a blackbird in this songs means overcoming something. It was written about black women in the 60s during the civil rights movement. It's a very positive song and beautiful.
This is sort of an idea for what it would look like, w/out all the chaos behind it.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll never get it b/c 1.
Or maybe I'd like it to be flying...who knows!
