I literally cannot remember even remotely what the thing was with Auggie that you're talking about. ~My memory is a memory~...

he started dating Liza Hearn to find out who her source was.

the "problem" was, he was chivalrous enough that neither of them gave away (to the other in the relationship) any secrets from their work.

and now he's dating the little sister of his dead best friend?

OKAY, right. I remembered the Liza Hearn thing, although I think you and I have different ideas about it, haha. I didn't consider anything about that "chivalrous." I found it creepy and it actually kind of killed any Auggie/Annie shipping that I had engaged in up to that point, because to me Auggie seemed skeazy.

But YEAH, the little sister! Haha, slasher that I am, I definitely read into that as like, her being a STAND-IN for his fallen friend... *cough* But yeah, it seemed like they both felt it wasn't a good idea but just couldn't resist.

I liked their relationship, and how neither of them was mining the other for information. I didn't like him treating it as an op (though that could just have been rationalizing)

remind me to PM you later.

>Haha, slasher that I am, I definitely read into that as like, her being a STAND-IN for his fallen friend...
And she's using him as a stand-in for a certain Hunter who passed through her life.

hm...when Auggie/her re-encounters Jo/Amita... :D

Hmm, I think that you and I interpreted the relationship/storyline completely differently. To me, he wasn't "treating it as an op," he went into it as an op. To me it seemed like the whole thing was an op for him, and while going undercover and creating connections with people under false pretenses is one thing (i.e., what Annie does basically every week), the fact that he was sleeping with her made it cross the line for me, and that's why it seemed creepy.

And she's using him as a stand-in for a certain Hunter who passed through her life.

Heh, well actually I was thinking that he was ALSO a stand-in for her brother, but I didn't want to get too incestuous up in here. We'll say a stand-in for her brother's PRESENCE in her life. ahem.

may've begun as an op, yes; but as Arthur said to Annie, lines blur and you get involved.
(was Auggie trying to get her to either turn or relent? undoubtedly yes. was that his sole aim? if it was, he might not have been so vhelmently opposed to Annie's suggestion of Jai joining in)

>creating connections with people under false pretenses is one thing (i.e., what Annie does basically every week), the fact that he was sleeping with her made it cross the line
now I'm curious how you view Annie and Eyal.

>well actually
aw, does this mean I can't talk you into writing more Jo/Amita, with maybe Auggie and her making a visit?
;)
