Next time I need to work quicker once the gnocchi are in the water, but apart from that they were splendid. Cheese sauce was spectacular, but I suppose 300g of cheese split betweeen two portions would make a bit of an impression, even if tempered with a little cream. ("Light"? What is that strange word???) And then the peppery taste of the arrugola that cut through all the richness of the sauce, making it all perfect. God, I love arrugola. And peccorino romano. And why have I never been to Italy?
Anyway; that's another vegetarian option added to the menu at Chez Soren!
(Sadly, though, most of my signature dishes seem to be vegetarian... I mean, I love meat but it's just not happening in my kitchen anymore. I do mean roasts, though, and perhaps I should start doing that more often... *thinks roast lamb with honey-glazed carrots and rosemary potatoes* Oh, the joy of cooking; it really is such a great way to unwind after a horrid day at work.)
