Well, after asking a load of natives, it appears that Boulder doesn't actually have one single boulder that gives it its name. There are lots of boulders strewn around the pedestrian bit of Pearl Street though. Kids like climbing on them.

Boulder is cool. Might actually make it out there more now that my stepson lives out there and that is where CWG has their Writing for the Soul conference every year.
