Greetings from Boulder
One of the perks of being a scientist is getting to go to conferences in new and exciting places. This trip, I get to spend 2 weeks in Boulder, Colorado, which is a very nice town indeed.
The downside is that most of my time gets spent in a windowless meeting room, but hey, that's the way it goes. This trip away is also a long one, and I'm missing the beloved and her Monkeyship something rotten.
I have been keeping myself busy outside of the conference though. I found two dance classes to go to, and have made friends with a couple of ladies I met at the classes. Meeting schedules permitting, I'll be going to a hafla in Denver on Friday night, so I'm enjoying myself.
Boulder also has the highest proportion of shops selling bellydance stuff I've ever seen. And a really, really good bookshop.
Tomorrow's quest is to take the bus to JoAnn fabrics and crafts. That shopping trip could get expensive!
