A few years ago, I had an idea to make a set of necklaces inspired by Poe's Haunted album, one necklace for every song. I didn't finish at the time, but I did complete several of them and collect pieces for others. Here are the ones that I did make.

Sterling silver wire is interesting. It has a life of its own, and very much does what it wants. It's way different from working with brass or copper - brass is soft, and does pretty much what I tell it. Copper is easy to work with, and feels good in my hands - it's sturdy despite that, and I find it beautiful. I know that silver is what everybody ( Read more... )

After many exciting Adventures In Plumbing and - scientific term, this - a shit-ton of plumber's putty, we finally have a functioning kitchen sink. This is cause for great rejoicing, I assure you.
