Things I Love Thursday
My gosh, this week is busy. Nevertheless, TiLT!
-Joy of Cooking. Mom bought me paperback copies from our favorite local used book store (as she took the cookbooks with her), so now I have my very own. They smell like the shop and are amazing.
-On that note, fruitful bookstore excursions.
-Little Pink Town. :3
-Talking tea with people, both those in the know about it and those not so much but still interested.
-Lesbilicious, a UK-based lesbian magazine.
-Getting sucked into extensive series of bookblogging posts.
-Today's Banana Phone incident in Japanese class - "*phone ring*" "Ring ring?" "Banana phone?" "Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring..."
-55 Ways to Get More Energy.
-Backhoe action on campus. There are a couple of buildings being torn down so that they can be replaced, so for the last couple of days there's been a backhoe smack in the middle of everything SMASHING THE CRAP OUT OF THINGS. 8D
-Coraline alphabet posters!
-These logo design tips.
-The sudden influx of INCREDIBLY CHEERFUL music mixes this last week. I approve so much.
- Best post or best post. (Oldschool anime themes; it is a guessing game, but be warned that people are fast. Just enjoy the totally sincere guitars and casio beats, man, enjoy the nostalgia.)
-Preparing and talking about your graphic design portfolio, which has tips that can be applied to portfolios of many types. (I mean to do a massive overhaul on my portfolio in the near future.)
-Paradis, a webcomic which is on hiatus right now but which is quite awesome.
-This person's "GLOW" jewelry, which I am coveting like mad. Aaah, the colors! ♥
-One year out of design school: 10 valuable lessons. Good advice in here, not just for designers.
-motorbike's Gankutsuou fst from last year, which I have been listening to like a mofo this week.

-Mochi, colored paper, tied wrap dresses, talking Todai with sensei, unexpectedly yummy incense, pine nut couscous, sparkly lip gloss, occult shops, coming up with small character details for OCs, this really neat packaging, gorgeous blue skies, shipping everything in this post (YGO), reading up on artist's alleys, contemplating things I want for my birthday, this fabulous photoset, Journey to the West demons, classic monsters, sudden shared IRL Vocaloid squee, this interesting futuristic wardrobe, neat-looking incense on etsy, "nice guy" articles over on Heartless Bitches (I return to these every so often, as I did this week when I could tell a "nice guy" from a mile off just by the conversation I was overhearing), in-depth conversations about zombies, Doe Deere's "White" photoshoot done in a white room, you are what you eat: a set of photos taken of the insides of people's refrigerators, finding a motherload of Jing anime screencaps, this list of frequently vintage-esque beauty tips, literary theory, interesting visual shorthand, particular new thigh highs on Sock Dreams, interesting sets on Polyvore.
