Things I Love Thursday
Thursday again! Things I'm loving this Thursday:
-Bento things. I really would like to try my hand at making bento, as it would be a much healthier alternative to not eating lunch until I get home in the afternoon. Ichiban Kan has some super cheap bento things, which fills me with eee.
-The inspiration to rewatch series that I've been feeling in my wanderings through youtube, and the series in question. See: Princess Tutu, Gurren Lagann, Escaflowne, Hellsing (want to watch the OAVs, as well), Yami no Matsuei (want to read the manga again). I'd also like to reread King of Bandits Jing.
-BPAL perfumes. I've tested two new ones this week - Brisengamen and Eve - which will get their own proper reviews soon.
-Pinup Girl Clothing, which is, holy shit, amazing. I want some of the dresses on there so badly I can almost taste it.
-REEEEEEEPO MOOOOOON.
-The thrift shop I investigated in town. I'll definitely be checking back there regularly.
-Christa Bell, who my lit class and I saw perform today. She's a feminist slam poet, speaker, and performance artist, and she is canned awesome oh man.
-The tea shop in town. I may stop in tomorrow before I head Seattleward and get myself a few ounces of something interesting.
-How many NamiKai vids there are on youtube! This mere fact makes me so, so happy.
-The 'Magpies' and 'Monday's Child' rhymes, which have given me Ideas.
- This post describing a pair of awful books, which makes me laugh really hard. The comments are great, too.
-Tiger Beatdown. See, kids, feminism can be funny! There are amazing articles on here, I highly recommend it.
-Lingering Sakuracon discussion. I can't believe I forgot to mention the No Face! No Face was epic. (And, I hear tell, in the cosplay chess.) Sarah and I were wandering through the dealer's room when we happened upon No Face, which we commented on. AND THEN IT OPENED ITS HUGE HIDDEN MOUTH AND STARTLED BOTH OF US.
-Platform 21, which is about repairing things. Check out what a guy did with umbrellas!
-Drawing Vocaloid stuff. The characters are fun to fiddle with. XD
-The new makeup line by Amelia Arsenic of Miss X Laboratories. Oh my goodness, look at the colors and packaging and false lashes and eeeee. More info in the blog post.
-On that note, her post on learning skills.
-The package that arrived from anthimeriate. Eeee. I am wearing the scarf right now. :D
-Finding out what those machines on the buses are for. Orca passes! They've just arrived. They are all-transit passes mooshed together into one little card.
-Pimping neat soap. Fwahahahaha.
-Colored pencilssss, hip bags, feathers, poetry, chicken curry salad, the most inappropriate logo of all time (holy crap XD), ES Posthumus, My Neighbor Totoro, the amazing pink and rainbow bra of magnificence, following links on Wikipedia, flippy forgemasters, these laser cut acrylic typography necklaces, these excellent type shirts, Shadow of the Colossus, bright colors bright colors bright colors!
