Wednesday, June 19 I went to Negaunee for a haircut, delivered a clock to Ishpeming, did some theater stuff with the director, and brought my Jeep to Fox Motors. The automatic door locks have quit on the front doors, the left side speakers don't work, getting the headlights cleaned, as one has water in the lens, and they put on a side marker unit that I had, but didn't want to take the whole grill off to install it. There are a few other things they are working on, but now I hear it won't be done until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Sally picked me up there and we went to Marquette for some shopping and errands. I had my chiropractic appointment and then a massage. The guy that did it before left and he was really good. Then I had a newer lady and now I have another new guy. Massages are getting so popular there that they now have 3 people working on that area. We also went to Household Appliance, where Sally used to work, to pay for our used, but new to us, and hardly used by the previous owner, Duet Washer and Dryer. They'll be delivering them later this week. We then ate at Culver's, did grocery shopping and went home.
It's been rainy, windy, and cold and so one day our furnace will run and the next it will air condition. But before this rain it was dry and windy, and all the yellow pollen from the Jack pines was on everything. Our driveway was yellow, our cars were yellow, our deck was yellow and even when I mowed the lawn, yellow dust flew up. Other than that, I have been just doing projects around the house, and today I actually got the lake pump irrigation hooked up, which is usually done in May or early June. Oh, the mosquitoes have been really bad too, and of course working in the brush, with water, and down by the lake, they were really getting a feast off of me while I got the pump hooked up.
We won't be able to have the sprinklers go on automatically. I don't think I mentioned this, or if I did, it was awhile ago, but 1/3 of our home automation equipment is dead. Parts are no longer available and it already was fixed once. It's over 20 years old, and so between Rick and I, we have been ordering parts and will be replacing the whole system in the next few months. The parts we miss the most, that are not working is the "house" talking to us and telling us things like when a vehicle arrives and turning on or off some lights. I also miss not being able to get the house stats from the internet, but with the new system, I believe it will even be able to text me. We'll also have a different "voice" for the "house" to use when it talks to us.
