I thought they were kinda funny, too, but then when I was walking about town last Monday I saw posters elsewhere with a hammer & sickle on them and then it wasn't funny anymore.
Unlike you, I haven't been to "all bars in Lakewood" to know that people are smoking in there. I've only been to the one that gives me free drinks, and at that one, some people smoke on Ladies' Night because of a loophole in the law that allows smoking if someone is renting out the place.
"Those willing to actually go vote" = you. If I recall correctly, though, you couldn't really remember which things you voted for and against when you were finished...
Look, Mr. smoking-and-peeing-with-the-door-open-in-the-ladies'-room-at-the-Grog-Shop, you earned the nickname and you're keeping it. And it doesn't matter if you have to close your door at home, which you do, by the way, or in public, which, fine, you don't, cause there are urinals, but, I think you should be civilized enough to notice the lack of urinals and presence of doors in the ladies' room and maybe also the fact that there are ladies in there and act accordingly! The Grog Shop apparently agrees, as they have put up signs that emphasize the ladies aspect of the ladies' room as well as a reminder not to smoke in there.
