Much shorter thoughts (on my end) about older TV shows

If you follow me on Twitter* you know that I'm a huge fan of the A.V. Club. The articles are frequently insightful with snark and genuine appreciation baked in. The comment section, though it does often decline into a drool-soaked version of this xkcd strip (here for example), usually generates multiple interesting discussions per topic with the occasional "so funny you have to fake a coughing spell so you don't weird looks at work" one-liner.

This summer, the website will be covering a number of new classic (read: canceled series beloved by geeks) series along with the other classics they currently cover like the X-Files and The Simpsons, reviewing episodes in the order they were originally made here is a non-exhaustive list of shows I think that some of you would like. There's more on the site along the sidebar.

The Real World: I wasn't old enough to care about the first season on its free run (my first one was Boston. "WHORE!"), but I caught it in reruns when MTV used to run weekend long marathons. Do they still do that or am I dating myself?

The Adventures of Pete and Pete: I am a dot. I am a dot. I am a dot. I am a dot.

Cowboy Bebop: I've actually never watched this. I love Samurai Champloo which has a lot of the same creators, so maybe I should.

Arrested Development: I used to be a huge fan of this. I missed a lot of third season when Fox started jerking the schedule around. I wasn't planning on rewatching my 1st season DVDs, but reading the reviews have made me want to go back to it.

Veronica Mars: I own the first season and watched the first four episodes, well, a long time ago. I loved them, but for some reason I never finished the rest. Here's a reason to.

Avatar: The Last Airbender: I've heard nothing but good about this series, but I've never watched it. Hooray for Netflix streaming.
