Passed my math placement test today. That's a big relief, not only because I had to pass in order to register for my econ summer class, but also because it means I still remember something from high school (though I did have to study for a few days before I could take the test, but come on, who among us really knows the quadratic formula without

:-D I definitely think cats have memories about those sorts of things. Ours are pretty forgiving cats, but they can tell when something's up (we're about to leave for vacation, they have to go to the vet, etc.). I just wish they possessed rational thinking abilities so I could explain why they needed to go to the vet. I said this to my DH yesterday, and he rolled his eyes and said, "You mean so that you could explain why you're right. That's your definition of rational." I thought this was quite something, coming from Mr. Logic and Rationality himself. *sticks tongue out at him, even though (or especially because) he isn't in the same room right now* :-P
You know, it seems as if having a doctorate should exempt you from high-school level placement tests at community colleges, but that's just me. :-D
Okay, I'd be lying if I said that same thought didn't cross my mind. But then I remembered that I was trying to sign up for a course I had already taken before (I took macro as an undergraduate), and then I remembered that, yeah, pieces of paper are pretty much worthless. ;-D
