Sophie had made her way home. She wasn’t in any mood to speak to anyone and she was sure if anyone said anything to her she would blow. The added drunks not helping her now flaring temper.
She was currently pacing her bedroom trying to came herself down. Her mother and Jeff off out for the evening; Sian debating whether or not to mention what she had found.
Sian’s POV
Sophie had been gone all day; to say I wasn’t worried would be an understatement. And that text she sent me just wasn’t like her, at all; but I think I found the cause for her acting all weird.
She came home just short of 9 o'clock still in her sweats and tank top, stormed into the house and ran upstairs slamming our bedroom door shut. Not even a hello. I had decided that I would go upstairs and mention what had fallen out of her hoodie.
I had been picking up everything for the wash when something had fallen out of Sophie’s pocket. It was only on closer inspection that I had noticed that it was a bag full tablets. I had never thought she would be the kind to do drugs especially not with her being religious. But here I was standing shocked looking at this bag. Had things really gotten that bad she felt the need to get high? I thought we talked about everything but here shows another thing I don’t know about her. I had kept the bag with me in the living room all day just thinking about whether or not to mention it. I had a feeling Soph would deny it or accuse me of going through her things, either way I wanted to get to the bottom of what the hell she thought she was doing.
I climbed the stairs still unsure of what I was going to say or do. Hesitant I knocked on the door and entered….
Sophie’s POV
Fucks sake I cannot believe I’ve lost those pills. Alan is defiantly going to kill me. I had been pacing my room for the past 10 minutes; to say I was angry and agitated… well that’s the wrong word I was so far past furious im sure red smoke was bellowing out of my ears. Everything was coming to a head; I could feel it inside me.
There was a knock and my door then she entered. I used to only need to see her and I would be calm but it wasn’t working this time. She didn’t even know me; how could she when I didn’t even know who I was anymore. I was a monster.
General POV
“Hey babe” she spoke calm and quiet. Sian sensed Sophie wasn’t in the mood and she was also nervous how to broach the subject of the drugs she found. Sophie didn’t bother to answer just raised her eyebrows as a signal to continue.
“I was really worried about you soph. I have no idea what is going on inside that head of yours and I really wanna help with everything that is going on. So you wanna talk?”
Sophie looked at her, I mean really looked at her. Sian was gorgeous to her with her golden hair and bright blue eyes that she wished that this time should could get lost in. She also noticed that was agitated playing with her something in her hand.
FUCK…… her mind screamed. She could now see clearly that Sian had the bag of pills.
“What are you doing with those?”
Sian realised where her eyes had rested, and silently cursed herself for not putting the bag in her pocket. Looking into the eyes of her broken angel she say love buried deep inside but at the surface was fear and anger. She had never seen Sophie properly lose her temper before but she was about to.
“I don’t know Sophie. Why don’t you tell me why these fell out of your jumper pocket when I was cleaning up today? Where you ever gonna tell me you were popping pills or were you just gonna lie like you always do now!” Sian screeched.
Sophie stayed quite, this was adding to her burning rage. Clenching her jaw and fists repeatedly it was doing nothing to calm her.
“Nothing to say? Wow The Sophie Webster speechless well that’s a first. You’re lucky it was me who found these and not Sally. She would kick you out and you know it. I will help you through this but you have to seriously not take anymore of these ok. Im gonna flush …..” Her voice had been raised but she knew to help Sophie she had to be calm. Sian had turned to open the door when it was crashed shut and she found her back pressed against it with Sophie’s raging eyes staring at her. She had never seen her like this and if she was honest to herself she was scared. Really scared.
“Soph…” it was barely heard “Sophie your scaring me…”
She had both her hands either side of Sian’s head. She could see her lips moving but she didn’t take anything she said in. She could think straight and she sure as hell couldn’t control what she was doing even if she wanted to.
“Your not gonna be flushing them”
Sian stared blankly at her. She couldn’t even recognise this person in front of her and it scared her to know how much she had missed, when it was clearly in front of her.
She hesitantly lifter her hand and placed it on Sophie’s cheek to gain eye contact. She could see the confusion now. She knew Soph didn’t know what she was doing or where to turn.
“Babe, you don’t need this stuff. I’ll help you….. I promise”
She quickly covered her face with her hands as Sophie’s fist came crashing into the door beside her head. It echoed then all was silent.
