What the Bleep
OK, so I might be a little behind the times on this one, I just got around to watching What the Bleep Do We Know. I think my life is changed forever...
Scientists sitting around saying things that I've always known, you know, deep down at my core, but not really let bubble up too much and effect my surface life and thoughts.
I went to the website and got the study guide for the movie, I can't stop reading it. The whole Institute of Noetic Sciences thing seems kind of cultish at first glance, but they don't ask you for money and they reference all manner of folks and sources so I suppose it's OK. I won't be selling everything I own any time soon.
So, there have been studies (according to the movie guide) that show intention can effect past events. Yes, I said past events. Random zero and one generators generate a random series of zeros and ones. Then, later, like the next day or the next week, a test subject comes in and tries to effect, with intention - thought, the outcome of the already generated numbers. They try to make the results lean one way or the other (more zeros then ones, or more ones than zeros) and it seems, they succeed. By a small statistical margin....that probably has not been replicated...but still...
