I do not understand the obsession with pink when it comes to girls' clothes (or anything else for girls). The word "girly" also annoys me, because it is generally used to describe something sparkly/frilly/pink or derogatively, which then suggests that girls are either obsessed with being pretty or easily dismissed for the same reason ( Read more... )

I spent all of yesterday either travelling to Plymouth (2.5hr away), in Plymouth, or driving my mum home. It turns out that Rob's dad has realised that visiting us after his wife's contract in the US ends will be far easier than visting us from NZ or Australia or wherever their next global hop takes them.
