Random thoughts on a sunny Friday afternoon
Much joy: the sun is shining! The weather should also remain cloud-free for most of the weekend! Except that there is MotoGP on tomorrow, and England v. France on Sunday.. Must construct enough reasons to record these and watch in the evening, rather than wasting valuable sunshine hours :)
Much sadness: Christine, World's Greatest Housemate™, is leaving us *sob* She's off to NZ for the next few weeks, following which she'll move in with her long-term boyfriend.. which we've been predicting would happen for ages, but it's still sad when it happens. We gave her back her deposit last night - with a little extra as pressie - in NZ$. On the other hand, whenever we move into this new house she'll be our local pharmacist :)
Retrospective randomness: the new series of Castaway starts tonight. Some may remember that I was this close to applying, though I'm sure the combination of my pregnancy and Rob's Kiwiness would have disqualified us long ago *lol* It is set on a "remote" island off NZ, after all (Great Barrier Island itself isn't that remote, but parts of it are). Watching a TV presenter make funny faces at the longdrop the other day made me laugh, because it's just a bloody longdrop!
Would be fun to take part one day though *daydream*
P.S. One of the Castaways is a fanfic writer *g* There is also a former lap dancer and a politician wannabe. Hmm. I may like Lost, but I liked Castaway first - I hope this isn't going to turn into Survivor minus the voting-out thing.
