Jedi madness
This is crazy: "Pair Use The Force For Jedi Religion".
Not that I don't like Star Wars or anything (though Ewan MacGregor was possibly the best thing about the most recent three), more that those census data are a pile of shite!
Three of my 5 housemates listed themselves as "Jedi" during the last UK census. This annoyed me massively (I had the classy part-time title of "census enumerator" at the time) because they were as far from lightsabre-wielding monks as you could possibly be, even when smoking, but pissing around was their choice. On the other hand, anyone who takes those figures seriously is a bloody idiot and wasting the UN's time.
Interstellar Day of Tolerance, my arse. We've got enough problems to fix down here before we start with other planets that may or may not support life.
In other news, we watched ep.5 of Torchwood last night. It was the first episode that I really really liked - woohoo! - though Rob remains unimpressed. C'mon. Gimme some more interstellar intolerance *lol*
(oh yes, and have made a Rhys icon in honour of the poor special ops widow :)
