We're not gonna take it!

So, last weekend was fun. Connie's parents have a condo on some lake in TN and we spent the long weekend there, doing nothing but swimming and tubing and playing on the jet skis. It was most relaxing. I am once again reminded that I have the best siblings in the world. Megan and I spent a lot of time on the jet ski together, sometimes with her driving and sometimes with her hanging on the back of me going "Jessy, you're out of control!" The lake isn't busy at all, so we just sped all around, singing at the top of our lungs. She told me "This is the most fun I've ever had in my life!" Then we all three crammed on the tube and Connie tried to knock us out. They're so funny...they have this whole system worked out for how to stay in the tube at top speeds. They were constantly yelling at me "Lean, Jessy, lean!"
So here are the pictures I took of the whole adventure.

Dad on the jet ski.

Kyle, being a nerd.

Megan, deciding she wanted to get in on the nerdy action.

And finally, Melissa (my cousin) joins the nerd party.

What a cutie.

Megan and I on the jetski.

Kyle fishing.

He finally caught a fish, off the dock.

And then another one, thirty seconds later.

Megan and Dad, floating just near what Kyle and Megan affectionately termed the UWI, or Under Water Island. I guess it was a little more under water the last time they were there.

Alanis has a section on her website called Thank U, in which she asks people to submit their answers to one question per month- she then picks her favorite six and posts them on the website. In August she asked people to submit their favorite photo and tell why it is their favorite, so I submitted a photo of Brandi. So apparently she couldn't choose only six and asked them to post all of the photos, so now this very adorable photo of Brandi is on Alanis's official website. It's very exciting. She's number 15 from the far right.

I've been searching for birthday gifts for myself. I'm trying to decide which of these I'm going to buy. But I'm tired of keeping the windows open, so I'm linking them here.

Browncoat car magnet.
Firefly Serenity Browncoat lanyard.
Browncoat lanyard.
Silver Serenity pendant.
Serenity ornament.
Browncoat hoodie.
Browncoat patch.
Serenity vinyl sticker.

I may also purchase some other things for myself, like BSG season 2, but those types of things are easy to find again once the window is closed.

I could say a lot more, about important things like...you know, school, and work and all that, but I've lost all conviction to finish this post. I'm very tired. And Brandi and Kaci are coming up tomorrow, which makes me veeeeery happy, so I've gotta...you know, rest up for the fun. Or something.
Goodnight
