Gym class? Is an awesome class. Or at least in Zidane's opinion it was. He was always good at physical things, especially ones that required good speed. During a game in progress, the opposing team hit the ball far, towards the far end. He rushed over and dived, juuuuuuust able to bump it to a teammate. He grinned and pushed himself off the floor.
Kotetsu thumbs up in approval. "Good show of teamwork, Zidane! Keep that ball moving!" Ah, it's always good to see kids playing like good sports ought to.
He grins. Cheerful kid. He likes that sort; reminds him of himself at that age. "Okay then! No no, Jace, you gotta hold your hands like this, like this. You know, like you're giving somebody a boost." He makes an exaggerated version of the bumping gesture.
Don't misunderstand, Tempo loved things like volleyball and P.E., but he just couldn't control his powers. Or, rather, he could, but he was terrible at not using them. He was pretty lucky that no one noticed yet, but, well, there was a reason he skipped swim class. Lightning and water made poor bedfellows, and someone as quick as he seemed unfair in a sport. He managed at fencing because he'd done it since he was younger, but anything else was a bit like the lottery. If he won; he felt like he'd be cheating a little too much to savor the victory. So he's hanging more off to the side than with his teacher, trying to not look very disappointed.
Oh no, you're not getting off that easy. Don't think Kotetsu hasn't noticed.
"Oi, Tempo, right? How come you're not playing with the others?" He thinks, then pounds his fist into his palm. "Oh, I get it! Shy, right? Don't worry, I'm not gonna let anybody pick on you if you're still learning how to play."
Whoopsies. "Good reflexes, Sheyla, but you gotta hit it like this or this, see?" He highlights the bump and spike maneuvers with a ridiculous look of mock stoicism on his face.
"Uhm, alright. I'm sorry." Sheyla replied, steeling herself for, well, a next attempt that, hopefully, wouldn't hit the net. Ball games were strange things, especially with a team on her side.
She'd prefer to replace her entire team with dolls, then at least she'd know what everyone was going to do!
Kotetsu keeps an eye on her for the time being. He gets the feeling she's not used to these sorts of sports, and hey! Not everybody is. Just means you have to be a little more compassionate for them, is all.

-- not let the ball hit you on the head. You okay over there? Yeah? Gotta keep your defense up better!

This was disappointing.

So he put on a smile and moved in to a group. All he needed to was just focus. He could do this without cheating. Definitely.
Or not. He couldn't help himself and moved to return the ball, just a little quicker than the guy next to him.

"That's pretty good, but try not to dominate the court too much, okay? Gotta make sure everybody can get some practice in," he calls out.

!
The ball went near her, its movement startling her. She lashed out, punching the ball back. Against the net.
Who said hightened physical capabilities had to give scores all the time?
