No more Spanish at PCC for Sophia. The professor who so graciously accepted me into her class isn't teaching this term anymore. Of course I figure this out yesterday, a Saturday, otherwise known as too-late-to-do-anything-day. Tomorrow I'll sneak into a couple of PSU classes and see if any professors are sympathetic. Wish me luck! Oh my goodness am I anxious about school starting, if you hadn't noticed.

This summer has been incredible. It's been my first living away from my mother, and for those of you who don't know, I had a pretty rocky upbringing. Quite the breath of fresh air! A few big adventures have come my way, but the most enjoyable parts of my summer have been the little things - picking figs, swimming in the Willamette, and watching Samurai Champloo with Sergio.

The change of pace will be exciting. School on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as I have mentioned before, and I also have a new task at hand! Every Friday I will be volunteering at New Day School, an Ananda Marga preschool on 20th and Clinton.

With seven toddlers.

Oh yes.

I hung out with them for just a while last week. It was quite the experience, especially since I'm not used to toddlers! Laughter and drama ensued. A lot of them came to me so I could put on their shoes, which was flattering. I do happen to be a remarkable shoe-putter-oner.

I have a lot to look forward to!
