I'm not superstitious and don't believe in luck as supernatural force. Events which supposedly "bring bad luck" like broken mirrors, walking under ladders, or neglecting to toss the spilled grains of salt over your left shoulder into the eyes of the devil are absurd. In my earlier entry of woe, I mentioned my funk, without going into all the specifics. As I reflect more and more on it, I realize it's been building for a while.
