The paper is done and turned in. God, I hope I make a good grade on it - it is 2,000 words even. TAKE THAT.
Seiha's debut went spectacularly. Pix forthcoming, we must have taken 1039463528339372652 or so and that doesn't even count the other people there photographing us.
Mom has a ruptured disc. Going in for surgery next week. It could be a lot worse, but I wish I could be there to convince her to sit down and not move and take it easy; if there is one thing my mother hates, it's the mere prospect of being laid out flat. (Conversation with the doctor, post X-ray: "Do you have to put me all the way under?" "...Mrs. Nagy, you're having spinal surgery." "So you can't just do a local anesthetic?" "...NO. WE CAN'T.") So we'll spend the week begging her to lay down and heal, but she is excited that she gets to go back to work within two weeks. (She is insane.) So, nothing too major; at the very least, I'm so glad she's getting her back fixed.
But now things get to slow down. I can work on my other assignments again. I can pick up a normal practice schedule. GIANT TAIKO PERFORMANCE is on Saturday; and after that, I get my life back.
More detailed entry with less boring things forthcoming. After this week. |D I have a lot of things to say, actually, but not enough time to sit down and waffle about them like I want to. ALSO I AM STILL KIND OF IN "SAY NOTHING SUPERFLUOUS" MODE AFTER THAT DAMN PAPER. SO.
my exciting life,
mom,
drumming up a storm
