(no subject)
*does the one week dance*
ONE WEEK! ONE WEEK! This time next week, I'll have my hair and makeup done. I probably will be getting ready to put on my dress. I'll probably be running around going "HOLY SHIT!" But everything will be figured out at that point. No more fittings, no more running around, no more worrying about seating plans. A wise person once said to me that if anything goes wrong, I'll be the only one who knows about it. So true! Especially since the wise person is a girl I know who got married last October. ;)
We met with the pastor this morning. He's very nice! We were pretty excited to be in the church and talking about where we'll stand and how the ceremony will flow, etc. On our way out, Dan smacked my ass. Thank god the pastor wasn't watching! He was like "haha, I smacked your ass in the house of god!" Quelle Idiot! But seriously, the church is super nice. It has a great stone floor, and everything is a light hard wood, silver, soo much glass, and no crucifixion depictions.. which is quite nice. It almost seems to be a non-denominational buidling, except for the big wooden cross.
Now I'm off to a dress fitting. She's got my veil done, and she got a thicker tie for the corset back. My seamstress rocks. She's so good about everything, and she makes me feel really good about myself.. which is quite an accomplishment in itself.
Wedding presents keep coming to us from various channels. People are so generous. Apparently there's a present at work for me to pick up. I was actually hoping to avoid work, since *drumroll*
I'M ON HOLIDAYS FOR THE NEXT 25 DAYS!!!
Oh, bugger. I am SO excited to be off! I had decided ages ago to take the week before the wedding. I'm thinking this was a wise decision, as there's still a fair bit that needs to be done. Also, I haven't been able to focus on work at all recently. I am so, SO pleased to be done. The two weeks after should be so nice. Hawaii, Hawaii! I can't believe we're really going to Hawaii!
Can you tell I'm in better spirits today? Haha.. I think I just needed to be done work. Also, a couple people who were stressing me out are not in the picture right now, and I'm quite happy about that. I just miss Teryl. I wish she didn't have to go away this weekend. Damn her for leaving the city on the long weekend! Not that I even need her for anything, I just love having her around. I still have Miss Slicktoria though, and she's been my Official Road Companion for the wedding running around.
Anyway, here's our itinerary for next week:
Monday - Regroup after the long weekend. Discuss the week ahead.
Tuesday - Favour packing party
Wednesday - Final dress fittings for all
Thursday - Bachelorette party!
Friday - Rehearsal, rehearsal dinner.
Satuday - Some big event, I forget what. :P
Sunday - Day after party. La la la!
During the weekdays, I'll be doing other various running around. I have to stop at the travel agent, make baskets for a certain group of people, meet Dan to pick up the marriage license, etc.
Should be a full week! I'm looking forward to it. :)
