Miranda July is too cool for words

That's a new Blonde Redhead music video starring performance artist/writer/filmmaker Miranda July, directed by her now-boyfriend Mike Mills. It's a pose a second, kids, and it's perfectly suited for the offbeat July.
I went to see her last night at The Paula Cooper Gallery in Chelsea. She read two stories from her new book:
Hilarious and completely original stuff. If you've seen her amazing first feature film, "Me And You And Everyone We Know," then you know to expect the unexpected. She has such a singular and unique voice, and seems genuinely real in-person. I picked up an autographed copy after the Q&A and read three stories this morning. You should get one too - and hopefully at your neighborhood independent book store.
