"That's what you get for driving a German car."

So, the original intention of the shop had been to take the parts they needed from another E28. They looked at the parts, decided they looked alright, and set a date for yesterday. Today, just as I'm heading out the door, I get a call from the guy at the shop. Turns out, the part wasn't in good enough condition. I appreciate that they're looking out for me, and that's part of why I go to this shop. They do quality work. So they're ordering new parts. Makes me happy.

The caveat to this is that the parts are on back order. From the factory. Which is in Germany. So it'll be two weeks. Tomorrow I have to go down and swap cars again. On the one hand, it'll be nice to be driving a driver's car and not this freakin bubble. On the other hand, I want my car to be fixed. When all is said and done, it'll have been nearly two months since the accident itself occured. Sigh.
