I don't come and go like a pop song, that you can play incessantly and then forget, once its gone
things are still good; yesterday I went to the National Gallery and looked around for a few hours...saw a DaVinci, and that was -amazing-. I was - I am - absolutley floored by it.
then I happened upon a jazz concert (very much by accident). It was awesome; I met a couple new people, and just hung out for a couple hours...it was great. very smooth jazz, which I love...altogether, great.
bri came over tonight and we cooked dinner together, something we always said we'd do but had never gotten around to. it was fantastic.
I'm convinced that one of the cats I live with is actually a demon in disguise. he follows me around! and tries to trip me! and is always always begging for food, even right after I've fed him. his sister I like, though. but all in all, I am not a cat person. any one have any tips?
I have a wicked case of insomnia at the moment...I think I drank too much coffee. ah well. i don't have any huge plans for tomorrow, other than getting out to some more of the museums. and i got a lot of spinning done tonight...I'm actually getting the hang of it now, which is really exciting. I like doing things that are so hands on, I'm a very tactile person in general...and knitting and spinning make me think of marx and engles and not being alienated from my work and all that jazz. so its good times.
there was a thunderstorm late late tonight (maybe an hour ago) and it was beautiful and really nice. even nicer because it means I don't have to water these people's extensive landscaping. yay for that. if the rain keeps up, I might not ever have to do it. after all, I'm leaving this house next week, and moving on to the next one.
in conclusion: things are amazing. this is turning out to be everything I wanted it to be.
