Wick's Picks

The NBA season has gotten underway, which is raaaaaaaaaaaaather amusing. On the other hand, it's probably not the best for my studies. Considering that I'm far busier this year than last, I must generally attempt to spend less time on the NBA . Nonetheless, one couldn't resist making some amusing predictions.

Very sorry Chardwick, I am a little behind on the basketball season as I am lamenting baseball still. I switch the bulls and the cavs in the Dank Div. Switch Raptors and Knicks. Complete agrreement in the South East. One rather disagrees in the pacific though, Lakers, Spurs, Suns, Clippers, Warriors. One will not really comment on the other div, cause she doesn't know enough. I pick the Heat over the Spurs...in hmm 6 or 7.

Both of your switches could very well se passe, but I like the Bulls better than I like the Cavs, and I find the nullardity of the Knicks amusing. As for the the Pacific Division, how did the Spurious Spurs get in there? I'm already wondering whether it was wise to leave the LL out of the playoffs, but I would be shocked (and appalled) if they were to win their division. You misunderestimate the Clippers, I think - one must recall that they were very close to going to the Western Conference finals last year. They have a lot of talent, and Shaun Livingston will continue to develop his ample skillz. Glad you agree about the Warriors, though - some foolios have been predicting that they'll make the playoffs, but they are foolios.

The Horrid Heat will be not-so-furry this year...Dwayne Wade, of course, will be skilled, but much of the rest of his team is literally old and decrepit. They will benefit, certainly, from le retour de Pat Riley, but he can't make playaz like Payton and Shaq grow a decade younger.
