that has to be my favorite statement of like-- the past MONTH.
they did do that though, i encountered one in ffx-2, and im like 'ooooooh shit, havent saved in almost an hour, and i dont have the run ability learned.. well, im turning it off after i lose..'
so it happens! i see it! tonberry creeps on up.. slowly but surely approaching (my beautiful) rikku.. he then uses.. CHEF'S KNIFE! I prepare to see 90% of my hp gone, or something like 9999 damage at LEAST over 1000, something, ANYTHING horribly punishing, letting me know that my level 12 characters are in for a hopeless fight..
and i see something like 127 damage, oooooh.
so i have rikku pray and the damage is almost entirely negated. he may have like 5000 hp, but he is completely non-threatening. he doesnt even skulk about or anything. he just walks person to person stabbing people.
anyway i read 'they nerfed the tonberries!' in someones journal and i just laughed my ass off. i guess since i just encountered the first one in this game a few hours ago its fresh on my mind. its still funny. anyway overall the game is addictive as hell. i enjoy it much. i love the pace of it, its a lot faster than the other games, but not faster to the point its simplified. its like playing any other game at three times the speed. at first i couldnt play it because it was too fast, since 6 or 7 years ago i havent been able to just play a game. i have to play a game, watch tv and chat. especially with rpgs. load times, slowness of random fights, i dont know. but this is the first game fast enough to keep up with me, loadtime and all. i love it.
kristin mailed me some candy and typed me a note. who types notes? weird. well thats not true, ive seen people do that before, but its weird. it seems to be too planned out. plus i just like people's handwriting, even messy writing, it sort of lets you in on what theyre thinking. ive seen messy people do that but she has perfectly neat handwriting anyway. weird. i think the candy tastes a little funny. i was talking to her and we got on the subject of candy, and i told her how warheads are like the tops. like the ABSOLUTE tops. nothing beats warheads. so she mailed me some weird strips of warheads. like listerine pocketstrips, but with warhead flavoring and stuff. she also says i should email her, people say that and its like 'hey leave a message on my answering machine'.
my face itches. i havent shaved in more than 24 hours. thats the longest ive gone in i dont know how long. i never go without shaving. agh.
bowl game tomorrow. 57 dollar tickets too, ouch. going to watch texas tech hopefully beat navy. we're supposed to win. i hope so. thats a lot of money to watch your team lose haha.
