So Spring break was a blast....it ends with my being sick, probably from going out to much...but well worth it.
1. The 21st birthday party was a BLAST! One of the best days of my life and definitely partied hard. I had my drinks, and I can safely safe that the its not worth doing every weekend. I'd rather have sober, intellectual conversations with other sober, intellectual people. Thats where the fun is at. My brother took care of me...it was sweet.
2. I was asked to lead hymns/spirituals for a homeless church with about 200 people. This is by far one of the most exciting propositions Ive ever recieved only because its such a worthy ministry thats too often neglected. Leading will include playing about 6 different hymns on the piano and sining loud enough so that everyone can follow. This is a really big task figuring A. A lot of homeless dont have good eye sight and cant afford glasses and these hymns are in small type.
B. Are not in the best "state" to be singing their best.
But I did hear that some musicians from New Orleans are in the congregation and if we rally them up, one Sunday we could have a jam session. Whoo! Now thats how church music should go.
3. Went to a party and met a really really fun guy. One of the most unique people I've met and soo...only time will tell if that sucka calls me back. This is kinda of an weird situation with Matt still very much in my heart. Dang. Please pray for me, so I don't do whats selfish and I do whats right.
4. I saw the Body Works Exhibition at the museum. IT WAS INSANE. Definitely one of the beautiful forms of art. The creator of this art and his other scientists/artists are seriously geniuses. I tip my hat to them, for sure. Thank GOd Justin was with us when we went becuase he explained where every body part was located. So now i can say that I know where my fallopian tubes are...and what the heck they do.
5. FINALLY got a video iPod and Im totally stokoed because maybe having music when I run will motivate me to go longer and lose some junk up in my trunk. HBU is FINALLY starting a girl's soccer team (HALLELUJAH!!)so this iPod came at the right time.
Life is good.
God is good.
Even when days are dark...He's there guiding you through.
Man, we have a wonderful Creator.
CHEERS!
