Wheeeee!! I'm on winter break. That means no papers, no tests, and no little yellow highlighter for one whole month!!! Huzzah! (Sara does a little victory dance.)
So far, break's been good. Came home late Friday night, and proceeded to spend all of Saturday in Borders. Corporate conglamorate, schlamorate. I love Borders so much. I bought some books for my family, and a page a day calender for Mich. Then I found this really adorable cartoon book called A Rock and Roll Love Story. Basically, it just told this really corny story about Lola (a la Barry Manilow) and Luka (Suzanne Vega) through rock lyrics. I gave it to Justin. He was pleased. I think...
Yeah...so I went to Ridgewood on Monday to visit Justin. His house was so adorable - - all Christmasy and such. I loved the "old photo" Christmas ornaments that adorned the tree in the front hallway. Very Justin pre-metrosexual hair phase. We went out Monday night with a whole bunch of his friends, which was overwhelming in a good way. They seemed very friendly, which was good. I had been a bit intimidated about meeting them, but all went well. I bumped into some girl from my high school in the Ridgewood diner which was pretty odd..we had to go through the whole "how's college, blah blah blah" thing even though neither one of us really cared....Tuesday Justin and I went shopping....bought a gift for his mom,and wandered for a bit. I discovered a really cool clothing store and proceeded to model my potential acquisitions for my somewhat bored, albeit patient boyfriend. That night, his parents took us out for Turkish food and...oooh I forgot all about the pancakes! Good lord....there's this breakfast place there with maybe 200 different varieties of pancakes. It's like I had always dreamed about.... :P So Justin drove me home a few hours ago...his mom made these delicious Christmas cookies with icing and sprinkles and then wrapped them up all pretty for me to take to my family. It was very sweet...Anyways, now Justin's on his way back to NJ, and I'm back home in the 'dale. Is it pathetic that I miss him already? I guess I just like the thought of having him around....
Happy 19th birthday, Dana!
