My darling one, sleep tight.
May no bad dreams visit you this night.
Only happiness shall take flight.
Only smiles on your lips, tonight.
And I will be with you.
For all time.

Starting down a lonely road.
My hand is mine to hold.
Left alone in my mind to wander.
And yet I do ponder.
How I came to join this path.
Narrow lane of lives long past.
No one prepares for this.
Waiting for life's rare bliss.
Wanting badly to move along.
Left alone... Singing a song.
