Summer Job
First of all, and most recently, I had an interview for a job at Game Stop. Initially, I thought it went real well. As the day passed by, I began nitpicking and worrying, as Pearcy/Keeton women shall. I wish I could make myself stop that. I can count on two hands how many people told me that if I wasn't hired, Game Stop was crazy. I tend to agree with this because, in all honesty, I feel like I'm a tad overqualified to work in most retail situations. It may or may not be true... let me have my ego trip! So if I'm overqualified, why apply at Game Stop? It's short, it's easy, and I get to play video games. Anyway, I was offered the job yesterday and I'm probably a little overly excited about starting it next week. I'm hoping it works out to where I can keep it during the school year, too.
Hugging My Pillow
I finished up my visit to Amarillo this week, which wasn't nearly as disappointing as the trip before. I got to see Sarah, which was great. Missed out on getting together with Cami, which I'll try to fix the next time I'm in town. Mom and I went to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, which was real nice. Seeing how the place was put together made me consider having a wedding in a garden of some kind. Annie and I got to spend some time together. She went to a Dillas Game (baseball) with me, Andrew and Kyle. Even though they lost, it was still tons o' fun. I played a good deal of Guitar Hero while I was there, both with Andrew and at Annie's game night. It was a nice time. I'm glad I went. However, I'm also glad to be back to the daily routine here. Also, on my way back to Denton, I got my first ticket ever, from the most masculine female cop I have ever seen.
