Just letting everyone know about my next two theatrical projects. I'm going into tech today as Ross in Edward Albee's The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, opening this Friday May 9 at The Hole In The Wall Theater, 116 Main Street, New Britain, CT (
www.hitw.org). A very darkly funny comedy about differing choices in sexuality and their impact on a family, The Goat is one of the more edgy shows we've done in recent times. I'll be curious as to the response.
The other project is one I'm extremely excited about. HITW has received permission to stage four of the original Twilight Zone teleplays, in a production entitled Twilight Zone: Of Shadows and Substance. For those of you geeked about it, the original teleplays we're staging are It's A Good Life, Nothing In The Dark, One For The Angels, and The Obsolete Man. This will open in July and run through the beginning of August. We had an amazing turnout for auditions, nearly fifty actors. I expect this to be an extremely successful event.
Come down to New Britain and check us out. We may be a "community theater", but we've got a professional edge, and our work shows it (two years in a row as Best Community Theater in the "Best of Hartford" readers poll in the Hartford Advocate).
