Oh lj. I forgot about you.
I decided I should post here to keep track of goals and things. But first, let me regale you with my weird dream. So, there were anteaters everywhere, roaming the yard like pokemon or something, (specifically like Rattatas or Pidgeys. There were lots of them and they were everywhere). One tried to attack my dog so I turned and it crashed into me instead. Very odd. Then I was at college and it was dark and deserted. Someone instant messaged me (on AIM because, college) and told me I had to go lock all the dorms and the cafeteria for some reason. I agreed to lock up Hardy since it was closest and then I discovered a dead body & noped out of there. Whaat? I think this stems from too much Pokemongo as well as the fact that I'm trying to teach myself to draw. I got this cool book yesterday & there are drawings of anteaters.

But my goals.
First there is the upcoming Frankenthon. I was so on track with training and then bam, plantar fascitis and achilles tendonitis and moving stress and IT IS HOT outside. So I'll probably walk much of this darn thing. I know I can run a half. Maybe I'll just run/walk it all Galloway style or something. However, I'm about to move and have no car & life will be boring. So I plan to be more disciplined with training! The hilly Austin Marathon is the day before my birthday, so I should have plenty of time to train for it. That's the plan. Even if the October marathon is a miserable failure I'm not going to DNF it. I want to EARN that cool shirt & those cool socks. I'll just walk if I have to. And then recuperate & shoot for the Feburary one.
Second goal.
I'm joining the YMCA next month and going to do some sort of swimming classes 3x a week. That should be good cross-training for sure.
Third goal
As part of marathon training, I know rest days are important. But what if once my injury goes away, I do one of those running streaks. Even if it is just a mile a day, that would be neat.
And of course, if I get to my goal weight, going to purchase something cool. I've always wanted one of those Nordic/Icelandic/Fair Isle or whatever you call them type sweaters. So if I reach this goal during the fall/winter, I can reward myself. That'd be super cool.
Guess that's all for now!
