I'm home. Thank Dende that's over.
Once I announced myself to the waiter and told him to leave, I walked back to the table. Scarlet was still sitting there, still smelling like rotten trash, and giving me that disconcerting smile of hers. I flat out told her that I never agreed to this date and nothing was going to keep me from leaving. I was about to turn and leave when she suddenly burst out in tears. She then started whimpering that no one liked her, that everyone was against her, and she was so lonely. I also noted that everyone in the restaurant was watching us. Several of the women were glaring at me, I think some people even recognized me.
Giving her a dry look, I told her to stop crying and that I wasn't falling for it. The waterworks shut off immediately. Then in a low voice she hissed that if I didn't stay she would slander my image so badly no person would even look at me again. I shrugged and told her that my image was as dirty as it could get. She then threatened to make sure no girl would ever date me. She got upset when I said that she'd probably be doing me a favor. I didn't bother saying goodbye as a headed out the door.
Good thing I had my disguise watch on me (I knew it would come in handy tonight). Turning it on, I chose the image of the middle-aged man with thinning, black hair and glasses. Scarlet had followed me out the door and tried to find me. All she saw was an ugly old man. Annoyed, she dialed a number on her cellphone and a couple minutes later a car pulled up and she left. I waited until they were out of sight before I turned off the watch. Sitting up in a tree I wondered about what I should do next. I still had those pre-purchased tickets to the movies that Grandma had given me and I decided not to let them go to waste. After finding a payphone I called over to Vez's house to see if she wanted to see the movie, but no one picked up. It then occured to me that she'd probably be a Gokou's BBQ, so would Goten and everyone else. So I went by myself.
Following the movie I picked up something to eat and headed home. Mom was relieved when she saw me walk through the door. Father and mom were pretty upset with Grandma. I was pretty upset too, at first, but then, she didn't know about Scarlet's "habits."
Anyway, I'm just happy to be home. That was a nightmare that I hope to never repeat again.
