Writing at 0345:
Yesterday was more or less a write off - I fell asleep at a decent hour (no later than 2ish), but woke up only around 1600, 1630. Oy. Worse, I had a terrible sinus pressure headache that didn't lessen in intensity until much later, and also spent much of the remainder of the day napping. Managed a few things, I think, but I'll attempt to cover those later, when I'm more rested.
It figures - I'm finally able to lie in bed (after dealing with critters for a bit), and more than sleepy enough to fall asleep: and my mind kicks into high gear. Regardless of how I spend the day, regardless of physical or mental exertion throughout, one of the (if not the) peak times for my brain is right before sleep. This causes some problems: I more often than not do not sleep when this occurs (not all the time).
When that happens, whatever sleepiness or drowsiness is present fades, as my mind starts to explore things, rousing practically every aspect of my conscious mind (meanwhile, the rest of it, and my body, may be dead tired).
So, a mug of coffee (which won't hurt at this point, and may assist in knocking me out - counterintuitive, I'm aware) - which also serves as an excuse for another, small, slice of chocolate fudge cake - and I'm up writing this, and then doing a little bit more before I inevitably crash in an hour or two.
