IAN IS TAKING SKETCH COMMISIONS
HERE Dougal's arthritis flared up last night (
details here), and
new meds* and a
new large cooling bed have to be bought so we can change how it's being treated. This is not something that we can put off as he's in pain and aggitated due to the NY type of heat, and it is mandatory especially for moving him to VA comfortably.
While we can afford this, between the move, and the fact that this dips into other pet money (for getting Dougal's bad teeth from previous owner pulled, new rounds of immunizations frontline and heart worm meds in July for all 3, dog and cat proofing a new apartment, Dougal's new training needs and a better head halter than a Gentle Leader to help with his anxiety during walks), it makes things a bit tight.
We can handle this, but Ian and I both would appreciate any help given. Obviously all other unnecessary expenses are put on hold until this is handled.
Therefore I am opening up 3 slots for 1 character sketches, $5 each
- They will be finished by next Saturday. Period.
- If you don't (or do) want glam, gore, kink, or anything else in particular involved in it: please say so
- It will be in one of too many of the styles I have. I don't know which one. It depends on what literally comes out of my hands (long, style, short chibi style, fat313 style, maniq style, etc)
- It will be digital or traditional, depending on what just works easier for me at the moment. If it's done traditional, I'll send you the original after the move at no extra charge. If you live far enough away that'll cost a bit, it may just take be a bit longer to send it because of money, but I absolutely will send it
- I'm not good at drawing non-pinup erotica, but I can attempt if asked. However that means you'll have to deal with me not being good at it. I'm open to nearly anything for drawing, so feel free to ask if you're unsure.
- IF YOU CAN NOT AFFORD A $5 SKETCH but something a bit less in price, talk to me and maybe we can figure something out.
When these are finished, I may open for more. However when this is covered, I'll be closing up shop for a while. Drawing for others tends to be stressful for me/not my thing, however because all the art supplies are packed the apartment isn't in a state to be doing anything crafty for anyone, this is really my only option right now.
I swear to god this is the only time I wish I still uploaded artwork.
But oh well.
More than anything, please put our old man in your thoughts. Dougal's a good, cranky old bastard, and we love him to death. The move will benefit him amazingly on all spectrums, but that won't be for a few weeks and doesn't help him right now.
If you're unable to help a dog in need now, but feel the compulsion and have the ability later, please donate to your local no kill shelter, or to
Sugar Mutts rescue (where we got Dougal and Midas) or
Stray Rescue of St. Louis (a very good and proactive rescue)
Thank you.

Originally, while last night we were looking to use Old Timer's for a medication, we all feel that it would be better to use Nupro. We've used Nupro before (not the Joint suppliment, but the over-all suppliment), and it worked wonders on all three (got Midas to the right weight, reduced the shedding, etc). As I know a lot of people that use Nupro for their dogs, including the Joint support, I feel better going with it. It'll cost about the same, but subjecting Dougal to Old Timer's probably would be less beneficial and not as good of a use of money (smaller package, bigger dosage, tastes awful which is difficult with him when it's a liquid).
In addition, the Nupro Joint suppliment is literally the normal Nupro plus the joint supliments added. As Nupro, like I said, already worked wonders on him, we think it would be best to keep him on that regimen of all his deitary and vitamin needs due to his age. The joint supliment coming along with it works out perfectly.
Thankfully, one of the pet suppliers that I work with at my job has a container on hand, so we'll be picking that up after work. This way we don't have to wait on a delivery.
This will be getting picked up along with anti-inflamitory meds, so that way we can medicate him best.
IF the Nurpo doesn't work as we hope, we'll be trying Athrimaxx, which I've seen do very well for many dogs, but is ONLY a joint suppliment and therefore won't help Dougal's other senior needs. Also another one we'll look into it VetiONX, which I've heard good things about.

Picked up Dougal's Meds (Nupro for Joints and a liquid glucosamine and chondroitin supplement that'll get rotated until the Nupro gets the change to fully kick in (as the liquid is instant)
