Two more at rest in The Valley of Hamsters

We buried Miss Bianca and Omicron in Speedlime's yard this evening. Miss B passed Monday, and Omi passed about a month ago but we had not been able to get there to take proper care of him before. Both of them were sent on their journey with lots of foods. Our thanks to the Anubis of the Valley of Hamsters for letting our little friends rest there.

I looked back on old posts, and saw that Miss Bianca came to live with us on May 4th 2010. So she was 2 years and 3+ months old, which means she was *well* over 100 in hamster years. She had the hamster version of being an old lady who "wears purple" since her getting to eat whatever she wanted was better for her health than any issues that might have come from a sugary diet, so she got to have berries and pasta and peanut butter and boiled eggs and pizza crusts (no sauce) and all the stuff we used to have to pick out of her hamster food. She was clearly happy about this. She loved pasta and the other foods that she hadn't been allowed before.

Omi got to enjoy those as well, although they were not as much a treat for him since Robos can have sugary stuff normally. We don't know how old he was since he spent a long time with other people before he came to us. It was a little odd finally getting to hold him, since I was never able to pick him up because Robos are not really okay with being held or even being touched. We felt bad he had to wait before he could be laid to rest, but circumstances kinda forced that. As it is, they are near each other, just as they were before. I did make sure they each got their own food so they won't have to worry about sharing.

I noticed that I really don't post much anymore. I like going back and reading my old posts, so I am going to try and get at least a little more written. I read almost every day; just not often up for posting.
