it feels like bordering on the edge of sanity when you travel down a road that you hated so much so many years ago and have it seem as though it was just last week. what's also strange is when you can almost feel the presence of people long passed from that time before the cataclysm which spun my whole world

Ugh the deer part broke my heart, your friend is psychotic, and sorry but not very smart either. You cannot kill a dear with a pocket knife. Thats plain torture. Oh I would be so pissed if I were you.

I agree with the other posters. Its a shame that your companions chose to torture that deer. I understand that neither of them intended to torture it, but that's what ended up happening.

The three of you really needed to either kill it yourselves (painlessly) or call animal control / police / ASPCA.

I really hope that when retelling the story, you just left out the part where you actually did do the right thing and made the phone call.

As someone who caries spiders & flies out of my house (rather than stomping them) I am very sensitive to this type of thing.
