Questions for a life time

Stars die. So do humans. As do animals, plants, and traditions. Every thing has a time limit. And the most depressing part of it all is the fact that none of us are privy to our time limit. We have absolutely no idea or concept of how short or long life will be.

Tonight I stood in the 50 degree or below, windy weather and stared at the sky. I noticed that one or two stars were a honeyed color. This is a tell-all sign that the stars are dying.

When I noticed the differences between the stars, questions started firing off in my mind.

Why is Orion's belt still shining bright? Who decides which star gets to shine and which dies out quicker? Does Orion have a time limit? Or does he "shine" in infinitum?

Does the soul die? Assuming we have souls and assuming there is eternal life... does it ever end? How far does "good things come to end" really go? For that matter, assuming souls exist and eternal life does not, what happens when the world ends? Will the world end? Can souls be destroyed?
