So I have a job, finally! I work at the BP across from campus. I work the night shift so far which is easy but sucks cuz its late/early as fuck 7pm-3am or 10pm-6am. but I should start on second shift soon. Its close and easy and 8 bucks an hour for being a cashier is pretty sweet. If anyone needs a job they are still hiring and starting wage is always $8.
So much to do and so much time to spread it out across.
I had 3 tests yesterday in 2 classes I was running on 4 hours of sleep and the night before I had 3 hours and then last night I had to work til 3am, came home, woke up christina and tj, called britany, and celebrated, a lot.
I have a test and a quiz in one class today... that is 4 tests and a quiz in 3 classes in 2 days, making for 1 busy matt... I suppose I should go restudy the material on this test and quiz today... fuck it I read the book.
I can't wait 'til we move into the house, I figure we'll have a big party after we get settled in. it should rock...maybe ;)
and now here is this song, I know no one reads em but I still wanna post it even if I had before.
I find the map and draw a straight line
Over rivers, farms, and state lines
The distance from A to where you'd B
It's only finger lengths that I see
I touch the place
Where I'd find your face
My fingers in creases
Of distant dark places
I hang my coat up in the first bar
There is no peace that I've found so far
The laughter penetrates my silence
As drunken men find flaws in science
Their words mostly noises
Ghosts with just voices
Your words in my memory
Are like music to me
And miles from where you are
I lay down on the cold ground and I
I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms
After I have travelled so far
We'd set the fire to the third bar
We'd share each other like an island
Until exhausted close our eyelids
And dreaming pick up from
The last place we left off
Your soft skin is weeping
A joy you can't keep in
And miles from where you are
I lay down on the cold ground and I
I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms
And miles from where you are
I lay down on the cold ground and I
I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms.
