And Just like that, a month later, I am going to give my two weeks notice. I feel a little bad about it, but I just have to remember they read my email and tell me I need to smile more. They were fucking asking for it. Plus I get to work on the 21st floor of the big pink now. The view from the conference room is gorgeous and the bosses office is supposedly even better. AND I get a raise. AND I work at a law office. All of which are vast improvements.
Not to mention the coworkers. The first interview was a little unconventional with the fourth question out the hatch, "Who did you vote for last election." After inquiring what the right answer was, I confessed to Kerry and they let out a sigh of relief. We briefly entertained the idea that the question was discriminatory, before we quickly agreed that asking about a vote for Bush was really just a test of common sense. Definitely not a conventional interview, particularly for a job that has no political component. The next interview I discovered that the boss-man's wife volunteered for MoveOn. This will probably be the only time that voting for Kerry and working for MoveOn will ever help my career.
So yeah. Excited about the new job. Stressing over giving my two weeks notice on Monday. Being lazy and lame today.
Oh, and Happy Birthday to my baby bro.
