One of the best things about being grown up is being able to walk out of work on a sweltering summer day to go to a neighboring Baskin Robbins and get yourself an ice cream. And no one can say anything about it, because you're grown and paying for what you want, when you want it, and ooo, that ice cream is good.
And then, because you're smart enough to not get a cone, you get to walk back in the heat, happily eating the sweet, sweet cold goodness. And it doesn't fall down after one fatal lick to decorate the concrete, but makes its delicious way into your tummy.
I like knowing what I want and being able to go after it. I'll take that anywhere, even in the little things.
