No, the twelve hour work day (with an hour lunch and a two hour-technically-one-due-to-traffic dinner break) is only on Wednesday and Fridays.
I'm working at a hospital doing receptonist/scheduling work for the chief administrater in cardiology. It's my first time working in a hospital, and I'm a bit nervous, but everyone has been very nice so far. When it's not crazy busy, I'm diving through paperbacks. Currently I'm reading 'Cordelia's Honor,' and enjoying it very much. It's about six hundred pages and I limit myself to reading in the afternoon (otherwise I'll get too caught up in it and don't trust myself) so this is day three. I'll probably finish it today? It's quite good, I think you'd like it.

And, wow, twelve hours is a long time to be, as you say, accountable to someone else. That's not every day, is it?
Other than that, is it a good job?
