I'm tired. This is what I get for staying up to nearly two am in order to finish old time Regency romances.
This one even had a kidnapping and a duel! And when the fair maiden had been rescued, the villain invited everyone who'd spoiled his ravishment to spend the night in his mansion and have a nice glass of claret. No, I'm not even kidding. Well. Maybe about the claret.
In light of that, I was no longer even disappointed that the fair heroine did not pick up a poker and bash the ruffian about the head whilst he was embroiled in a fencing match with my lord.
...OK, maybe a little disappointed. At any rate, I was up too late and up too early, spent most of the day going through paperwork and dealing with technicalities for the new job. Apparently, they lost my chest X-Ray.
I just don't even know anymore. I do know that I have to leave for work in twenty minutes. So I should probably get my war paint on.
In other news, I may or may not have broken my little toe. Will attempt to decide this tomorrow.
The word of the day is abecedarian. 'One who is learning the alphabet; hence, a beginner.' I'm going on strike until they give me a verb.
