I find this bit about the Writers Guild strike both funny and informative. It just goes to show you how much the writers really make the show. (Yes, evilpuppy, I posted this for YOU. And The Korean.)
In other news, I've sent in a request for clarification about several of the questions that I have for the PhD program at Chapel Hill, specifically regarding the nature of their language requirement and deadlines for funding. I'm not giving up on this, it may just take some rearranging. Just because I am not fluent in several language does not mean I would not make an excellent addition to their program, and I really believe that I would. But I'm also glad to have been able to keep my options open while I wait to hear back from the graduate assistant. I'm still excited to see what's gonna happen, even if I feel kinda run over at the moment. stupid girly habit is coming on, and not helping.
So, we'll see. First step: defeat the GRE! I've signed up for the Princeton GRE Online Review, which will likely involve lots of stupid flash animation but will hopefully be helpful.
