So, in response to a request from stormbringer986, I've brought you a character FST for the Violinist of Hameln manga.
You'll notice there are two sides to this fst. It's not for any real reason other than I ran out of room on the first tracklisting and figured it'd be nice to have two.
So, a hero, a girl, a friend, an angel, two birds, and a boy walk into a bar...
For those not familiar with this old, obscure manga, I SHALL INFORM YOU! XO I don't really care for how little is written about the series in general in Wiki, so I'll write this myself.
SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES WITHIN.
Somewhere in a pseudo-European world, everyone in the old days went a little crazy and started naming their countries after music. If not music, then Greek myths. One or the other. I guess they really didn't have much reference back then. Either way, it got the job done.
So, somewhere in all this, a certain woman opened a box. A special box that wasn't really all that special looking. Inside were all the demons of this very confused world. It later became Pandora's box because..the woman's name was Pandora. When the box was opened, the demon king, Chestra (short for Orchestra) was released as well. Something or other happened, and the Demon King Chestra was sealed away back in Pandora's box if you know what I mean. Before he did, he totally knocked boots with Pandora and she had some twins: an angel and a demon.
When he was sealed, the box was taken to the country Slur while the key was hidden in the holy city Sforzandso. So, the demons decided they wanted their pimp king back and attacked the holy city. Except the Sforzandso totally had the force on their side and kicked the demon's asses.
FAST FORWARD to however many years later, little demon has grown into a complete douche. Except he's on his way to the Northern Capital where the demons are.
AND THUS BEGINS OUR STORY.
I'd like to formally apologize up front about the lack of seriousness in the descriptions of the FST. The series itself is serious at certain points, but other than that, it's complete crack.
Also, I was up until 5am last night working on this, so I can't guarantee my own sanity through this. I'll probably make another FST for the characters I left out.
For the cover, we have the protagonist of the series, Hamel, playing a song in thanks to the warm gratitude he felt from the city's residents. A very solemn character, used to always being alone with his violin.

The series is full of its ironies. A demon growing up with humans, an angel living with demons, a mother's warmth frozen in ice. Everyone in the series is just trying to figure things out so they can be happy.

When you first meet Hamel, he truly is the definition of an asshole. Selfish, greedy, unsympathetic. Often at the expense of Flute or Raiel. What more explaination is needed?

Depite all the shit Hamel puts him through, Raiel still thinks of him as his closest bestest bud. Until Hamel embarasses him. Or throws him like a missile at their enemies. Or is just a downright idiot.

Somewhere in this darkness
There's a light that I can't find
Maybe it's too far away...
Or maybe I'm just blind...
Sizer is an angel raised by demons for the sole purpose of ...well.. No one's really sure. At least I don't remember why. She always feels like a traitor to the angels, until she betrays the demons. Then she feels like a traitor to everyone, so she lets herself die. Until Flute comes along and heals her. She's a torn warrior between her race and her duties, only to be reborn and able to make her own decisions.

Raiel is the warrior of love. Sadly, he can't even be near a girl without swooning into a blood-loss inflicted near-death. When Sizer kisses him on the mountain, he's out cold for weeks. When Sizer joins the group, he's in a coma-state for who knows how many chapters. He loves Sizer, in a creepy, almost-stalkerish kind of way.

It's hard to imagine their friendship without the gay jokes. Honestly. Come on, give it a try. Even Flute had a dream about them being gay. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.

Flute's a country girl with an unknown past until she runs into that bastard, Hamel. Then he kidnaps her, makes her wear monkey costumes and dance around. Then, she finds out she's the princess of Sforzandso. Sucks to be her, it doesn't change the whole monkey costume thing. But, she's always a dreamer, wondering what's going to happen. Optimistic, violent outbursts against Hamel, compassionate. Yep. Your typical heroine.

Hamel's a selfish jackass, Raiel's a loyal friend. Raiel's parents were the first to show Hamel and his mother that humans weren't just loathing, prejudiced fleshbags. And Hamel showed Raiel that all demons are sadistic assholes.

What do you do when the one you would follow to the ends of the Earth acts as if he couldn't give a damn about you in the end? Somebody who changes who he is in the blink of an eye? You keep on playing the game and just hope that, in the end, the finish line will be in near-sight soon.

Lute, the little mute boy who carries around the head of Hell King Bass. Not because he enjoys it or anything, but he really doesn't have much choice since he kind of decapitated Bass when the demons first attacked Sforzandso. Either way, he doesn't have much say in the matter.

So, Hamel's got a bit of angst in him. Who doesn't? By the time Flute starts to feel any kind of feeling towards him, he gets this habit of turning himself into his demon form and, oh I don't know, stabbing her in the stomach with his hands or something. Not like he enjoys being a demon (Okay, maybe he does, but he's too torn to show it).
13. FLUTE TO HAMEL 2

These foolish games are tearing me apart

Because what FST is complete without some woman singing a heart-wrenching tale of unrequited love? Flute's getting some mixed signals from Hamel. He's being her sugar daddy, but not giving any love. Flute just wants to know what's with all the hatin'?

Raiel dies from nose-bleeds every few chapters and no one cares, he wants to go wherever Hamel goes. How could this song NOT fit, eh? All that aside, it's a wilty kind of song. Perfect for someone who just floats along through life.

After being sealed away in someone's basement for who knows how many centuries, Vocal's more than pissed off. But, you know, Bass was tired of Vocal always killing characters off in their D&D meets. So, his grandmother's basement he was banished.

Trom was a boy orphaned before he could get that lead in Newsies. Instead, he spent most of his time angsting over his parents' deaths and the downfall of the kingdom he finally got to take control of. He's one eyeliner case short of finding a My Chemical Romance album for sale.

Yep. Hamel's still an asshole. Except now, he's an asshole with a mission: to save the world. One bad joke at a time.

Orgel, the puppetmaster who didn't know when to shut up. If he'd just backed off a little, they might not have caught onto him. Then again, it's not like they killed him. One thing about mask demons: they're like killer hitchhikers.

So, they decided they needed Vocal's kickass-ness back in their D&D meetings. They went downstairs, woke him up and said a girl wanted to meet him. Except not. They totally wanted him to go all player-killer on someone else's board. Not like he cares. He enjoys it.
*NOTE: Since this song was originally a hidden track on the album, there's about 30 seconds of silence in the beginning of the mp3. I don't have the right programs to change that. Sorry guys.

So, we've got the infamous Pandora making an appearance on this FST as well. The woman who caused the shit to hit the fan and fell asleep before she could take responsibility. Either way, they're holding her hostage until she decides to pony up her successor son. Or maybe they just think she's pretty. Who knows.

Usually, I try not to have two songs by the same artist on an FST, but this was a bit too fitting for Hamel's view on Flute. He needs her around. Who else is gonna put up with his insanity? Who else would dress in the octopus costume? I seriously doubt Hamel could get anyone else in his group to give up their lifespan for his marionette magic so he could make some extra money.
